We left Hervey Bay after much packing and running around and it was great to be on the road finally. We finished the first day at the great metropolois of the Gold Coast. We stayed at Les and Maria's for the next week ( they were overjoyed by that) with a short trip up to Canungra showgrounds where we camped for four days beside the creek and had a great time doing vey little. Les and Maria came to visit ( because they missed us ) along with Nicki and we all slept in Bay the camper trailer.

Back to the Gold coast for a finally farwell and then on the road and the start of the reli run.

Quick overnight stop in Taree with Rob and Barry. Joe, Katie, Len, Amy and kids popping in to say hello and meet the boys.

Dubbo is the next days destination, Barry assuring us that Dubbo was only 400k's away (he looked it up on Google). Len mentioning it took about 5hrs to drive - this should have given us a clue!

A stop on the side of the road for Liam's online lesson which took 11/2 hrs instead of 1/2hr, and suddenly the trip to Dubbo took us nearly 8hrs!!!
